Waiter
Will provide smooth and efficient service. At the same time will remain alert to the guests’ needs and wishes and is always prepared to ensure guests’ complete satisfaction
Requirements:
- at least 2 years of professional experience as waiter
- ability to effectively communicate in English and/or German
- demonstrates attentiveness, a positive attitude and unfailing politeness
- operates well in a fast-paced environment and remains friendly in all situations
- punctual
Responsibilities:
- greets passengers upon arrival
- provides guests with a prompt and attentive service
- knowledgeable about the wine/bar lists and types of wine and drinks
- confidently explains the menus and recommends selections to the guests
- communicates effectively with the rest of the team and the kitchen
- follows instructions from the Barkeeper, Head Waiter and Maître D‘Hôtel
- clears tables and bar counters correctly and efficiently at all times
- attends all meetings regarding the job and the ship life
- operates well in a fast-paced environment and remains friendly in all situations
- always respects the company serving schedule and standards
- follows the sanitation regulations and the instructions of the management
- attends the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items
