Barkeeper

Requirements:
- you are a good salesperson with strong awareness of budget management and target achievement
- at least 2 years of experience in the same position
- have the ability to inspire guests to discover new alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- knowing guests by name, remembering their preferences and anticipating their needs is a highly appreciated skill, and you must prove to have it
- have a wide repertoire of cocktails that you can mix, ranging from classical to modern
- have an excellent sense for what guests will enjoy
- friendly, with good communication and leadership skills
- good level of German and English
Responsibilities:
- knowledgeable about the bar menu, able to mix a range of beverages, with a wide cocktail repertoire and an excellent sense of what guests might enjoy
- makes sure that the service levels in the bar area are prompt and impeccable
- manages the entire beverage service on board and the complete bar inventory
- collaborates with the Hotel Manager to design the working schedule of the bar staff
- manages the beverage inventory after each cruise and the bar inventory once a month
- responsible for maximizing the profit, keeping the operational costs within the set limits and keeping the company standards
- makes sure that over-stocking IS avoided and waste is reduced
- acts as mentor and provides on-the-job trainings to new team members
- makes sure that all staff members are familiar with the sanitation regulations
- ensures that the different onboard bars have always enough drinks for the upcoming events
- attends the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items
