In this role you will act as A key figure in creating a 5-star unique experience for passengers / Guests.

Requirements:

  • experienced professional with exceptional management and supervisory abilities and excellent communication skills
  • a minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Maître D’ or Restaurant Manager on river ships, or in a 4 & 5 star hotel (cruise experience will have an advantage)
  • ability to deal with all guests’ requests in a diplomatic manner
  • ability to communicate fluently in German and/or English
  • has the ability to lead an international service team
  • conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • ability to assist with the organization of various onboard F&B events

Responsibilities:

  • in charge with the overall operations of the restaurant
  • ensures that the appearance of the restaurant (waiter stations, tables, linen, silver, crockery, cutlery) are up to the standards of a 5-star service
  • avoids over-stocking and keeps operational costs within the set limits
  • responsible for maximizing profit and for maintaining company standards
  • acts as mentor and provides on-the-job training to new members
  • makes sure that all staff members are familiar with the sanitation regulations attends the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items
