Maître D‘Hôtel
In this role you will act as A key figure in creating a 5-star unique experience for passengers / Guests.
Requirements:
- experienced professional with exceptional management and supervisory abilities and excellent communication skills
- a minimum of 3-4 years of experience as a Maître D’ or Restaurant Manager on river ships, or in a 4 & 5 star hotel (cruise experience will have an advantage)
- ability to deal with all guests’ requests in a diplomatic manner
- ability to communicate fluently in German and/or English
- has the ability to lead an international service team
- conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- ability to assist with the organization of various onboard F&B events
Responsibilities:
- in charge with the overall operations of the restaurant
- ensures that the appearance of the restaurant (waiter stations, tables, linen, silver, crockery, cutlery) are up to the standards of a 5-star service
- avoids over-stocking and keeps operational costs within the set limits
- responsible for maximizing profit and for maintaining company standards
- acts as mentor and provides on-the-job training to new members
- makes sure that all staff members are familiar with the sanitation regulations attends the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items
