Cruise Director Assistant

The Cruise Director will assist the Cruise Director in all aspects of their work.

Requirements:

• native or bilingual proficiency in German and English
• with 2-3 years of experience in a similar working environment (experience on board cruise ships, with knowledge on at least one of the major river destinations in Europe (Danube, Rhine, Main, Seine, Rhône & Saône will be considered an advantage)
• very good public speaking skills
• well-organized, diplomatic
• pleasant and energetic demeanor
• with capacity to handle diversity in terms of cultures, groups, individuals and situations
• adapts fast to different situations enabling them to rotate between various itineraries and ships when necessary

Responsibilities:

• assist the Cruise Director on board and assume their role when needed
• make announcements via the public announcement system
• hold live presentations and informative briefings for up to 180 guests
• offer light entertainment options and announce live acts on board
• host live cooking demonstrations, evening entertainment
• contribute to a unique guest experience
• protect the workplace culture by recognizing and supporting team goals and building positive relationships with team members
