Chef de partie
As Chef de Partie you will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting food to the highest standards of taste, appearance and quality.
Requirements:
- formal training as a chef with a passion for food and 2 years of experience in similar positions (Chef, Cook, Assistant Chef)
- very good knowledge of ISO quality systems and H.A.C.C.P. procedures
- able to delight with international and regional cuisine
- good knowledge of English (German is a plus)
- environmental awareness
- demonstrate high aesthetic sense
- can work as part of a team as well as independently
- has the ability to learn quickly and work fast
Responsibilities:
- prepares cold and hot food (breakfast items, soups, meat, poultry, vegetable, fish, mollusks and seafood dishes, according to the requirements of the menu, recipe and, if need be, according to the guests’ desire)
- ensure proper portion, plating, and food garnish
- respects the preparation timings of the meals
- complies with all food safety legislation
- keeps all working areas clean and tidy and ensures no cross contamination
- complies with health and safety procedures, keeping their working environment tidy
- attends with the loading of food, beverage, laundry and other items
